Children’s Day 2025: A Day of Joy, Learning, and Little Adventures

Children’s Day has always held a special place at Tyros. It’s a day when we come together to honour childhood itself—its energy and curiosity. This year, on November 14, 2025, we decided to celebrate it at Grand Centre Mall, Muvattupuzha, followed by a cheerful afternoon at the park.

Fun at the Arcade

The day began with eager steps as we walked into the Grand Centre Mall. After a quick round exploring the space, we made our way straight to the arcade—a paradise glowing with lights, sounds, and games.

From bouncy slides and mini trampolines to racing games, basketball hoops, video games, and even the classic Temple Run, we played their hearts out. The carousel spun to the sound of joyful squeals, and some even enjoyed a short and thrilling 8D show. Every moment was an imprint on our growing memories—little experiences that form the fabric of a happy childhood.

Popcorn, Candy, and a Real-World Money Lesson

Our next stop was the floor filled with popcorn kiosks and colourful candy stalls. But this wasn’t just a treat break; it was an important hands-on learning experience. Each of us came prepared with at least ₹50—enough to buy something we liked, but not enough to buy everything we wanted.

This small activity created room for big lessons:

  • Budgeting: Understanding what fits within the money we had.
  • Decision-making: Choosing between flavours, sizes, or even between popcorn and candy.
  • Evaluating value: Comparing options and figuring out what felt “worth it.”
  • Handling money: Counting, paying, and collecting change on our own.
  • Confidence: Experiencing the independence of making and owning a purchase.

These are the beginnings of financial literacy—simple, real-life experiences that prepare us for bigger responsibilities in the future. For many, this was a meaningful first taste of managing money in the real world.

Hypermarket Adventures and First-Time Bills

Some of our students extended their financial learning adventure by exploring the hypermarket inside the mall. We picked up basic groceries—snacks, vegetables, everyday essentials, or snacks—and for several of us, this was the day we paid our first bill ever.

This experience opened up practical understanding in ways the classroom cannot replicate. We read price tags, compared brands, gauged affordability, and thought about value. We learnt that every item comes with a cost and every cost has a reason. These are small steps toward understanding how households function and how choices are made every day.

A Flash-Mob Moment

Our visit took a delightful turn when we reached the mall’s central arena, where public performances usually take place. Thanks to the warm and encouraging mall management team, our students were invited to perform right there. What followed was a near flash-mob moment.

We danced to a lively set of songs, including Dreamers by Jungkook of BTS, and the crowd around them responded with smiling faces and applause. It wasn’t just a performance; it was a confidence-building moment. Performing outside the school environment helped us embrace courage and spontaneity.

The mall team even surprised our children with sweet treats—a gesture received with gratitude and bright smiles.

Off to the Park for Play and Sunshine

With hearts full and hands still carrying the snacks we’d chosen earlier, we headed to the park next. The moment we arrived, everyone found their favourite spot—some ran, some shared popcorn, some compared candies, and others simply laughed as they played together.

Children don’t need much to be happy—just open space, good company, and the freedom to be themselves. The park gave them exactly that. It was a lovely finish to the day—simple, sunlit, and filled with genuine joy.

Honouring Childhood in Every Way

As we reflected on the day while heading back, one thought stood out clearly: Children’s Day 2025 was everything we hoped it would be—joyful, meaningful, memorable, and full of learning.

We played.
We learnt.
We performed.
We explored.
But above all, we celebrated childhood in the most honest way possible.

At Tyros, we believe experiences like this shape far more than just a fun day out. They build confidence, curiosity, independence, and warmth—qualities that stay with children long after the day is over.

And as we returned, tired yet glowing, we knew we had created moments our students will carry with them for years. That is the true spirit of Children’s Day.
