Annual Fiesta 2025: A Day to Remember

Tyros Primary School’s much-anticipated Annual Fiesta 2025 took place on January 25 at the Sree Moolam Club in Muvattupuzha. This year, the students were determined to make it one of a kind in the school’s history, and their teachers supported them wholeheartedly. The result? A spectacular evening of music, dance, theatre, and creative performances that left the audience spellbound.

The event began on a melodious note with the prayer song Sailing by the legendary Rod Stewart. With Stewart being one of the best-selling artists of all time, having sold over 120 million records worldwide, the choice of song set an uplifting tone for the evening. This was followed by the welcome song Forever Young, another classic by Stewart, filling the atmosphere with nostalgia and warmth.

The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. Mohandas Suryanarayanan, author of The Urban Chronicles of Muvattupuzha, who delivered a wonderful keynote speech. Our founder Mrs. Shini Mathoor and her son Kurian Mathoor spoke too.

Diversity in performance was the hallmark of the evening. The stage came alive with an array of acts ranging from Western rock to K-pop, classical theatre to traditional poetry enactment. Andhakaram, the hauntingly beautiful song from the Malayalam movie Padheyam, was performed in a symbolic dance that captivated the audience with its depth and elegance. K-pop fans were treated to an electrifying performance of Blackpink’s hit number by Azra and Farah, proving that music truly transcends borders. Special thanks to Ms. Sheena Rolson for being a masterful emcee!

Awards for various achievements and efforts were also given away to students from all classes for academic brilliance, artistic and creative contributions and sportsmanship, among other things.

The musical brilliance continued with Aaron’s rendition of Bad Moon Rising, a song penned in 1969 by Creedence Clearwater Revival. His performance brought a rock-n-roll energy to the event, showing the versatility of the young performers.

Theatre enthusiasts were in for a special treat with the play Soothravadi or The Helpful Stick, an adaptation of a story by the Russian writer and animator Vladimir Grigorevich Suteev. Known as one of the pioneers of Soviet animation, Suteev’s stories have entertained children for generations. The play was met with much applause, as the performers brought out the essence of teamwork and imagination through their acts. Thanks to our theatre teacher Ms. Amritha for all that she has taught us in the realm of theatre.

A mesmerizing enactment of Poothapattu, the famous poem by Edassery Govindan Nair, was performed by Theertha Shine. The poem’s rich imagery and rhythmic beauty came alive through the performance, leaving an everlasting impact on the audience.

Adding to the uniqueness of the event, the English Club staged some special performances, showcasing their literary and theatrical skills. The entire show was a testament to the dedication and creativity of the students and teachers, who worked tirelessly to ensure a memorable evening.

Annual Fiesta 2025 was not just an event; it was a celebration of talent, passion, and the boundless spirit of the students at Tyros Primary School. With each performance more enthralling than the last, it truly marked a milestone in the school’s history, setting the bar high for the years to come. The evening ended on a high note, with students and teachers dancing together and celebrating to the Bollywood song Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte, bringing the night to a joyous and unforgettable close. The energy was infectious, and the spirit of camaraderie was evident as everyone partied together, making it a perfect finale to an extraordinary event.
