A Field Trip to the Hill Palace Museum, Kochi

October 3, 2024 – The kids from Tyros Elementary went on an exciting field trip to the Hill Palace Museum in Thrippunithara. We were eager to learn about the rich history of the place.

Built in the 19th century, the Hill Palace features traditional Kerala style with sloping roofs, wooden beams, and intricate carvings. The grounds are adorned with beautiful gardens, vibrant flowers, and tall trees, creating a serene atmosphere.

As the children explored the museum, they marveled at fascinating artifacts like royal clothing, jewelry, and ancient weapons. They were particularly impressed by the ornate ceilings and elegant courtyards that reflected the grandeur of the Kochi Maharajas.

After the adventure in the museum, we enjoyed a picnic on the grounds.

We spread out blankets and shared sandwiches, fruits, and juice while laughing and playing games in the lovely outdoor setting.

Once lunch was over, the excitement continued as they ran off to the nearby park. The park, with its swings, slides, and open spaces, was the perfect spot for the children to let loose. Despite the hot weather, it was one of the best days we’ve had this year.

The trip to Hill Palace Museum combined with the picnic and the fun at the park, was an unforgettable experience.
